Business Courier from Mumbai

Shiv Guru Cargo is a Mumbai-based cargo and logistics company. Alongside our cargo and logistics services, we arrange courier for eligible business documents, parcels, samples and smaller commercial shipments.

This service can suit offices, traders, manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and other businesses. Some send something once in a while. Others dispatch every week. The work is the same either way: we look at what is being sent, where it is going and how soon it needs to arrive, then suggest a suitable courier service within India or overseas.

A few typical business shipments:

  • An office in Andheri sending signed contracts to a client's head office in Delhi.
  • A manufacturer sending a product sample to a buyer, or a small spare part to a customer waiting on a repair.
  • A trader or distributor sending several small parcels to dealers and customers in different cities.

What we can offer depends on the pickup location, the destination, the contents and the service available for that route. We confirm this before anything is booked.

What Can Business Courier Be Used For?

Contracts & Agreements

Signed contracts, agreements, legal papers and other documents that need to reach a client, partner firm or branch in original form.

Invoices & Business Papers

Original invoices, statements, reports, tender papers and correspondence that cannot simply be emailed.

Product Samples

Samples, swatches and prototypes for buyers, trade contacts or prospective customers.

Spare Parts

Small components and replacement parts for customers, service engineers or branch workshops.

Replacement Items

Products sent out to replace faulty or damaged goods at a customer's address.

Small Commercial Parcels

Modest quantities of stock, finished goods or promotional material that fit within normal courier handling.

Branch & Office Dispatches

Files, supplies and equipment moving between your offices, branches or site teams.

Dealer & Distributor Shipments

Small consignments, price lists, display material and samples for dealers, stockists and distributors.

Multi-Piece Business Dispatches

A few boxes or envelopes sent together from one pickup address, where the pieces are courier-compatible.

Final acceptance depends on the contents, the destination, weight and dimensions, the rules of the provider or service, and any restrictions that apply. Please tell us exactly what you are sending when you enquire.

Business Courier or Cargo — Which Fits Your Shipment?

The two services often overlap in what they carry, but they suit different sizes and types of consignment.

Business Courier. Suited to documents, samples, small parcels, replacement parts and smaller commercial consignments. These are items that can travel through a courier network and be delivered to an address in the normal way.

Cargo. Better suited to larger, heavier or more substantial multi-piece consignments, palletised goods, and shipments outside normal courier limits. It also covers goods better moved by air, sea, train or road cargo.

If your consignment is closer to freight than a parcel, our cargo and logistics services will usually be the better route. When you share the shipment details, we will tell you which option is more suitable.

Is Your Business Shipment a Document or a Parcel?

The distinction matters because documents and parcels are often booked, priced and handled differently.

Business document. Paperwork only. Examples include contracts, invoices, reports, tender submissions, applications, agreements and certificates.

Business parcel. Contains physical items. Examples include samples, spare parts, replacement products, promotional material and small stock items.

An envelope holding a pen drive, a key, a sample or any other object alongside papers is usually treated as a parcel. What decides it is what is inside, not the packaging.

For more detail, see our Document Courier and Parcel Courier pages.

Multi-Piece Business Courier

For several envelopes or boxes booked together from one address, as long as each piece is suitable for courier.

Regular Business Dispatch Support

For businesses that send often, to help work out suitable options based on their usual shipments and destinations.

These are types of service, not guaranteed fixed products. Availability depends on the shipment details, the destination, and the coverage of the service or provider.

Regular Courier Dispatches for Businesses

Every business sends differently. One firm might post a single set of documents a month. Another sends parcels to the same three dealers every week. A third has a busy day with half a dozen shipments to different cities, followed by a quiet week. Most send a mix of documents and parcels.

If your business sends regularly, tell us about your usual dispatches so suitable service options can be discussed. It helps to know:

  • the typical shipment type (documents, parcels, or both)
  • the approximate number of pieces in a usual dispatch
  • the usual weight and size
  • your common destinations, within India or abroad
  • how often you normally send

This gives us a clearer picture than handling each shipment in isolation. Each dispatch is still checked for its own contents, destination and service availability.

Business Courier Across India

For shipments within India, we can arrange pickup from your office or business premises in Mumbai, where available. Delivery goes to serviceable cities and towns across the country.

Business courier within India typically covers:

  • documents going to branch offices and head offices
  • samples and small consignments for dealers and distributors
  • spare parts and replacement items for customers
  • office supplies and files moving between locations

We start with the destination PIN code. Coverage and service options can differ between metro cities, smaller towns and remote areas. Where a standard or faster service is available, we explain the options. Once the service has been checked, we can give you an estimated transit time before you book.

For other shipments within India, see our Domestic Courier page.

International Business Courier from Mumbai

We arrange international courier from Mumbai for eligible business documents, samples, replacement parts, small commercial parcels and non-restricted merchandise. Business shipments abroad need complete information from the start. Please share:

  • the destination country
  • the city
  • the postal code
  • the receiving company or person's name
  • the full receiver address
  • the receiver's contact details
  • whether it is a document or a parcel
  • the contents
  • the quantity
  • the weight
  • the dimensions
  • the declared value, where required
  • invoice or item details, where relevant

Commercial shipments often need more paperwork than personal ones. Customs requirements and restricted-item rules vary from country to country, and duties or taxes may apply at the destination. Delivery also depends on whether the address falls within the service's coverage. Customs checks and other destination processes can affect how long a shipment takes to arrive.

For other shipments abroad, see our International Courier page.

Packing and Labelling Business Courier Shipments

A well-packed, clearly labelled shipment is easier to handle and less likely to be delayed. Before pickup:

  • Use a sturdy outer box, envelope or mailer that suits the contents.
  • Protect the item itself, especially samples, parts and anything fragile.
  • Fill empty space so nothing moves about inside.
  • Seal every seam and flap securely.
  • Mark the receiving company or person's name clearly.
  • Write the complete address, including the PIN or postal code.
  • Include a phone number that will be answered at the destination.
  • Number the pieces on multi-piece shipments where it helps, for example "1 of 3".
  • Remove or cover old labels and barcodes if you are reusing packaging.

Packing is normally the sender's responsibility. If you are not sure how to pack a particular item, ask us before pickup.

Weight, Size and Your Business Courier Quote

The service available, and the charge, usually depend on:

  • the actual weight
  • the dimensions
  • the number of pieces
  • the pickup location
  • the destination
  • whether it is a document or a parcel
  • whether you choose a standard or express service
  • international paperwork, where relevant

For parcels, size matters as well as weight. Courier services may consider volumetric or dimensional weight, which reflects how much space a parcel takes up. A large but light carton, such as packed display material, can therefore be charged differently from what its actual weight alone would suggest. Accurate dimensions help us give you a realistic quote.

If the consignment is too large or heavy for normal courier, our cargo and logistics services may suit it better. We will tell you if that is the case.

How Your Business Courier Shipment Is Moved

We coordinate the booking, and our team remains available if you need help with the service or with shipment-status information. The shipment may travel through a suitable third-party courier or service provider. The provider used can vary according to the destination, the shipment details and the service required.

Within India, that might be a network such as DTDC, Delhivery or Blue Dart. For overseas shipments, it might be a provider such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or Aramex. These are examples only.

The choice takes into account:

  • the destination
  • pickup coverage
  • the shipment type
  • the contents
  • weight and dimensions
  • urgency
  • service availability
  • international requirements

The selected service or provider can be confirmed when the shipment is booked.

Can you arrange regular courier dispatches for a business?

Yes, we can help with regular dispatches. Tell us your usual shipment type, the approximate number of pieces, the typical weight and size, your common destinations and how often you send.
