HOW WE PACK
Room by Room, Item by Item
Good packing decides whether things arrive in the condition they left. Packing materials are provided where required, and each type of item is packed the way it needs to be.
Living Room
Sofas, tables, TV units and decor are wrapped and padded, and furniture that needs it is dismantled and reassembled at the new place.
Kitchen
Crockery, glassware and utensils are packed in cushioned cartons and marked, so they can be unpacked in the right order.
Bedrooms and Wardrobes
Clothes, bedding and mattresses are packed clean and dry, and wardrobes and beds are dismantled where required.
Electronics
TVs, computers and small appliances are packed with protective cushioning. Keep the original boxes if you have them and mention them at the survey.
Books and Documents
Heavy items such as books go in smaller cartons so they stay manageable. Important documents are best kept with you.
Fragile and Valuable Items
Mirrors, glass, artwork and other delicate items get extra care. Point them out at the survey so the packing can be planned for them.

Free pre-move survey. A survey is how we avoid guesswork. It costs nothing, and depending on the move it is done either by a physical visit or on a WhatsApp video call, where you walk us through the rooms and items. It tells us the volume, the packing involved, the access at the building and the vehicle needed, so the quote reflects the real job.
Our team, and more when needed. Shiv Guru Cargo has its own moving team. For larger moves, or where the work calls for it, additional manpower is arranged so the crew matches the workload.
Vehicles. We use our own vehicles and also arrange other suitable vehicles depending on the move. The choice comes down to the volume, the distance and the access at both ends. If you only need goods moved without the packing side, our transportation service may suit you better.
Updates during the move. Depending on how the move is arranged, updates are shared through website tracking, WhatsApp or by phone from our team.

Coverage, Storage and Insurance
Where we move. Local shifting within Mumbai, and intercity relocation across India. The exact arrangement depends on the origin, destination and what the move involves, and is confirmed when the quote is prepared. Door-to-door pickup and delivery can be arranged subject to location, access and service conditions; see Door-to-Door Cargo for how that works. For a bike or a part-load of household goods going intercity by train, you can also book railway parcel space from Mumbai.
Storage in between. If the new place is not ready or the dates do not line up, storage can be arranged as part of the relocation through our warehousing support.
Transit insurance. Shiv Guru Cargo is not an insurer. Where applicable, we can help you arrange third-party transit insurance for the move. It is discussed separately and is not included automatically.
Move size. Bookings start from 10 kg, so even a small consignment of personal belongings can be handled. Larger household and office moves are discussed and planned according to what needs to be shifted.
