Sending Online Orders from Mumbai

Shiv Guru Cargo is a Mumbai-based cargo and logistics company. Alongside our cargo and logistics services, we arrange courier movement for eligible e-commerce orders from Mumbai to serviceable destinations across India and to eligible destinations overseas.

It suits sellers and businesses that pack their own orders and need a dependable way to get them into the courier network. That might mean a single order one day and a batch of them the next. Some typical situations:

  • A small online clothing seller sending out the day's customer orders.
  • A business sending a replacement or exchange product to a customer whose first order was not right.
  • A D2C or retail seller sending several orders at once, each going to a different customer.

What we can offer for any order depends on the destination, the product and the parcel itself. We check those before anything is booked.

What Can E-Commerce Courier Be Used For?

Clothing & Fashion Orders

Garments, footwear and similar items ordered online, packed in mailers or boxes for individual customers.

Accessories

Bags, belts, wallets and other fashion accessories going out to buyers.

Books & Printed Products

Books, stationery, printed merchandise and similar products sold online.

Household & Lifestyle Items

Home décor, kitchenware, linen and other everyday lifestyle products that can travel by courier.

Small Consumer Products

Compact products sold directly to customers, subject to a check on what they contain.

Replacement Orders

Products sent to replace an item that arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect.

Exchange Shipments

A different size, colour or variant sent to a customer as part of an exchange.

Business Samples

Product samples sent to prospective buyers, resellers or trade customers.

Multi-Order Dispatches

Several customer orders handed over together, each with its own destination.

Final acceptance depends on the actual contents, the destination, weight and dimensions, the requirements of the provider or service, and any restrictions that apply. Products such as batteries, electronics containing batteries, liquids, cosmetics, food or medicines may be restricted or need checking first, so please tell us exactly what you sell.

E-Commerce Courier or E-Commerce Logistics?

The two are related, and the difference comes down to how much of the work you want handled.

E-commerce courier is mainly about moving orders that are already packed and labelled. Your orders are collected and handed into the courier network, and they travel on to your customers. This suits sellers who manage their own stock and packing.

E-commerce logistics is the broader operation. As well as delivery, it can include order handling, picking and packing, and wider logistics coordination for businesses that want more of their fulfilment managed for them.

If you need more than courier movement for your orders, our E-Commerce Logistics page explains that service in more detail.

E-Commerce Courier Options

Domestic E-Commerce Courier

For customer orders going from Mumbai to serviceable PIN codes across India.

International E-Commerce Courier

For orders going to customers overseas, subject to customs and destination requirements.

Standard Order Delivery

For regular orders where a standard courier service fits the customer's expectations.

Express Order Delivery (where available)

A faster service option for orders that need to move sooner, on routes that offer one.

Door-to-Door Order Delivery

Collection from your premises and delivery to the customer's address, where both ends are covered.

Multi-Order Dispatch

For handing over several orders at once, each labelled for its own destination.

COD Orders (where supported in India)

For domestic orders where the customer pays on delivery, on services and PIN codes that support it.

Return / Reverse Pickup (where available)

For collecting an item back from a customer, on routes and services that offer reverse pickup.

Replacement & Exchange Courier

For sending a replacement or exchange item to a customer, booked as its own shipment.

These are types of service, not guaranteed fixed products. Availability can vary according to the destination, order details, provider and service.

Packing and Labelling E-Commerce Orders

Well-packed, clearly labelled orders are easier to handle and less likely to run into problems along the way. A few habits help:

  • Choose a box or courier mailer that suits the size and weight of the product.
  • Wrap or cushion anything that could break, scratch or bend.
  • Fill empty space so the product does not move about inside.
  • Seal every seam and flap securely.
  • Check the customer's name, full address, PIN or postal code and phone number before the order leaves.
  • Put the shipment or order label where it can be read easily.
  • If you reuse packaging, remove or fully cover old labels and barcodes so they do not cause confusion.

Weak packing or unclear labels can increase the risk of damage, misrouting or other handling issues. Packing is normally done by the seller. If you are unsure about packing a particular product, ask us before pickup.

For general guidance on sending individual parcels, see our Parcel Courier page.

Sending Online Orders Across India

For orders within India, we can arrange pickup from your home, office, shop or warehouse in Mumbai, where the location is covered. Orders then go to serviceable destinations across the country.

Coverage is checked by the customer's PIN code, as it can differ between cities, towns and remote areas. We also look at:

  • what the order contains
  • its weight and dimensions
  • whether a standard or faster service is needed

Whether you are sending one order or a batch of them, an estimated transit time can be checked once the order details and available service are known. Standard and faster service options may be available, depending on the destination and the shipment.

For documents and other shipments within India, see our Domestic Courier service.

Sending E-Commerce Orders Overseas from Mumbai

Selling to customers abroad takes more preparation than domestic orders. For each international order, please share:

  • the destination country and city
  • the postal code
  • the customer's complete address
  • the customer's contact details
  • an accurate description of the product
  • quantity
  • weight and dimensions
  • declared value, where required
  • invoice or item details, where relevant

Customs requirements vary from country to country, and so do the rules on which products can be imported. Duties or taxes may be charged at the destination, and some products need additional checks or paperwork before they can be sent. Customs and other destination processes can also affect how long an order takes to arrive.

For other shipments abroad, see our International Courier page.

Cash on Delivery for Eligible Domestic Orders

Cash on Delivery may be available on selected domestic services and serviceable PIN codes. Whether it can be used for a particular order depends on the provider and service chosen. Charges and settlement arrangements also depend on the provider and service.

COD should not be assumed for international orders. On this service, COD is mainly considered for eligible domestic shipments in India. If your customers expect to pay on delivery, tell us before booking and we will check which domestic services and PIN codes can support it.

Returns, Exchanges and Reverse Pickup

Not every order stays with the customer. Returns and exchanges are part of selling online:

  • a wrong size
  • the wrong item
  • a product that is not quite what the customer expected
  • an order that could not be delivered

Where the service is available, a reverse pickup can collect the item from the customer and move it through the return service to the designated return location. Availability depends on the route, the customer's location and the provider or service. Return or reverse pickup can therefore be checked for each order.

If a replacement or exchange item needs to go out, it is usually booked as a separate shipment. Let us know what happened with the original order and we can check the options for both movements.

Weight, Size and E-Commerce Courier Charges

Courier charges for online orders usually come down to:

  • the actual weight
  • the dimensions of each parcel
  • the number of orders or pieces
  • the destination
  • whether you choose a standard or faster service
  • COD or return requirements, where relevant
  • international documentation, where relevant

Size can matter as much as weight. Courier services often consider volumetric or dimensional weight, which reflects the space a parcel takes up. A large, light box can therefore be charged differently from what its actual weight would suggest. Choosing packaging that fits the product closely usually helps.

If a consignment is too large or heavy for normal courier, one of our cargo and logistics services may be more suitable, and we will tell you if that is the case.

How Your E-Commerce Orders Are Moved

We coordinate the booking, and our team remains available if you need help with the service or shipment-status information. Orders may be moved through a suitable third-party courier or service provider. The provider used can vary according to the destination, parcel details and service required.

Within India, that might be a network such as DTDC, Delhivery or Blue Dart. For international orders, it might be a provider such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or Aramex. These are examples only.

The choice takes into account:

  • the destination and its coverage
  • what the order contains
  • weight and dimensions
  • whether a standard or faster service is needed
  • whether COD is required
  • whether reverse pickup may be needed
  • international requirements

The selected service or provider can be confirmed when the order is booked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide e-commerce courier service from Mumbai?

Yes. Alongside our cargo and logistics services, we arrange courier movement for eligible e-commerce orders from Mumbai to serviceable destinations across India and to eligible international destinations. What can be offered depends on the product, the parcel and the destination.

Can you courier online orders across India?

Orders can go to serviceable PIN codes across India. Coverage can vary for smaller towns and remote areas, and some products have fewer service options. Share the destination PIN codes with the order details, and we will check what is available.

Do you offer COD for e-commerce orders?

Cash on Delivery may be available on selected domestic services. COD availability depends on the domestic service, the provider and whether the PIN code is serviceable. Charges and settlement arrangements depend on the provider and service. COD should not be assumed for international orders. For this service, we primarily check COD on eligible domestic shipments, so please ask us before booking.

Can you arrange return or reverse pickup?

Where the service is available, yes. Reverse pickup depends on the route, the customer's location and provider or service availability, so it is checked order by order. A replacement or exchange item is usually booked as a separate shipment.

Can I send several customer orders at the same time?

Yes. Several orders can be handed over together, each labelled for its own customer and destination. Let us know how many there are, where they are going and their approximate weights and sizes, so we can check coverage and services for each.

Yes, to eligible overseas destinations. For each order we will need:

  • the customer's full address, postal code and contact details
  • an accurate product description
  • quantity, weight and dimensions

Customs rules and restricted-product lists vary by country, and duties or taxes may apply. These are checked before booking.
